Hurricane season is generally from June 1 through November 30. To ensure you are prepared for any hurricane-related weather, please review the below information.
To help ensure that you are prepared, here are some flood protocols to follow.
Property manager will ensure that any damaged trees or branches are trimmed and/or removed. Should you see any damaged trees or limbs, please contact us immediately so that this can be addressed prior to storms
Gutters will be cleared of debris and secured to the building. If you see any issues with gutters, siding, roof or other exterior, contact us immediately
Anchor any heavy outdoor items
Bring any lightweight outdoor items indoors prior to storms
Cover exterior windows
Know the emergency protocols for the area including evacuation map, evacuation designated shelter, evacuation protocol.
Follow all local evacuation instructions
Take photographs of all personal items to make things easier should you need to file a claim with your renter's insurance
Make an emergency supply kit including water, food, a battery operated weather radio, a flashlight and spare batteries, a first-aid kit, a wrench or pliers, garbage bags, and moist towelettes
Visit ready.gov for help preparing a family safety plan
