PRIOR TO MOVE-IN
Lease: Ensure all adults review, understand, and sign the Lease and any applicable Addendum
Baselane Tenant Portal: Activate and configure ongoing payments
Initial Payments: Submit security deposit and 1st payment as agreed
Move-in Appointment: Schedule appointment to pick-up keys and finalize move-in process
Utilities: Contact utility providers to transfer utilities to your name effective on your Lease start date as soon as possible to avoid service interruptions. Refer to the Area Info for information on utility providers
Mail: Contact USPS and file a change of address form. Update address with any person, company, or entity that might send you mail
Insurance: Purchase insurance and submit proof within 30 days of the Lease start date
DURING MOVE-IN APPOINTMENT
Access: Collect keys and sign the Receipt of Keys. Configure and test smart lock codes/fingerprint; if available
Walkthrough Inspection: Document existing condition and identify any pre-existing wear or damages
Emergency Shut-off: Identify the exact location of the main water shut-off valve and the electrical circuit breaker
