Property Total Management
The rental property must be cleaned and left in the same or better condition than that in which it was received.
If there are damages or if cleaning is required after you vacate the premises, charges will be assessed accordingly.
Below is a non-exhaustive checklist you can use for reference during your tenancy and when preparing to move-out.
Submit a Move-Out Notice (with Forwarding Address) timely according to the Lease
Contact USPS and file a change of address form
Contact utility providers to stop utilities and provide a final billing address
Update address with any person, company, or entity that might send you mail
Coordinate return of all keys with the Property Manager
Remove all personal belongings
Follow Removal Instructions from the Command brand damage-free hanging products explicitly to pull the tabs straight down so the paint does not peel
Stickers should not have been used. However, if they were, please carefully remove them without damaging surfaces
Sweep and mop non-carpet floor
Vacuum and spot clean carpets, if necessary
Clean tile grout
Replace burned out or missing light bulbs indoor and outdoor. Make sure all bulbs match in color
Dust light fixtures and ceiling fans
Wipe down walls and remove any cobwebs
Clean baseboards, trims around windows and doors
Replace air filter if needed and clean air filter return grille
Clean air vent registers
Ensure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are working and replace batteries, if needed
Empty all closets and shelves
Remove all trash. Do not leave any garbage in the dwelling, outside the door, in or around the yard, driveway, porch or decks
If there is a fireplace, ensure all ashes and wood are cleaned out and glass doors are cleaned
Dust all blinds
Wipe all switch and outlet wall plates
If there is a washer/dryer, run a cleaning cycle, clean the exterior, clean the seal (if front loading), and clean filter
Refrigerator & Freezer
Clean all food out of Refrigerator and either leave it running or make sure doors are popped open
Clean outside and inside of refrigerator and freezer thoroughly, removing all debris and stains
Clean refrigerator and freezer drawers
Cabinets
Empty and clean out all cabinets
If you place any cabinet liners, remove them
all cabinet hardware
Stove, Oven, Range, Range Hood
Clean stove. Do not forget knobs. If non glass top, clean under burners. If glass top, ensure you use appropriate glass stove top cleaner
Clean oven racks, as well as interior and exterior surfaces
Clean inside and outsie of the range hood, including filter and bulbs
Remove personal belongings
Dishwasher
Remove personal belongings
Clean inside and outside
Misc
Clean countertops
Clean sink and faucet
Clean tub/shower enclosure, sink, and countertop
Remove all mold, mildew, and soap scum
Clean toilet base, tank, bowl and lids
Remove anything that colors toilet water)
Clean shower heads and all faucets
Clean mirrors and medicine cabinets
Remove shower rod, curtain and rings, if yours.
